Does anyone know if there's any airline looking for pilot? What are the requirements? :)

Description SILKAIR REQUIRES A320 PILOTS

SilkAir, the Regional Wing of Singapore Airlines, has vacancies for A320 Captains with the following qualifications:

CAPTAINS

1. Current ICAO ATPL

2. Total Experience: 5000 hours

· With rating:
1500 jet hours airline PIC on a/c heavier than 20000kg (MTOW) of which minimum 500 hours must be on A320 family a/c.
· Without rating:
3000 jet hours airline PIC on a/c heavier than 20000kg (MTOW)


REMUNERATION & BENEFITS

· Total gross remuneration (before tax) will be in the range of S$150,000 per annum for Captains excluding Group profit sharing bonus
· Free and discounted travel on SilkAir services
· Discounted travel on Singapore Airlines and other airlines
· Subsidised Medical Insurance Scheme for dependants
· Subsidised Dental & Medical Care
· Loss of License coverage (applicable to those under 50 years of age)


EMPLOYMENT TERMS

Successful candidates will be offered long term employment on the terms and conditions as agreed with the Pilots Association.

Pilots will be required to enter a training bond and provide a bank guarantee, as applicable.

Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.

Very nice of you to post what you have found Caryn but quite honestly if the OP cannot be bothered to find out I really wouldn't rate his/her chances of gaining such a position very highly.

All airlines need pilots. because pilots fly aeroplanes and airlines have many aeroplanes. The requirements are common sense, resourcefulness and last but not least good eyesight. A keen interest in aviation is a plus and will get you far.

I know a lot about pilots, like they fly planes, they have experience, they can read and write, know their basic math facts, the list goes on....

No problem at all..
but kinda agree with Plavt... actually information about available vacancies are quite easy to find.. just go to the airline's website and do a random search..... Do u have any specific questions? Cos if u want to know more about pilots, there is so much to talk about?... :???:

Hi good news to all aspiring pilots!!! Just saw an advertisement on Straits Times Recruit, 9 Dec 2006, Page R15. Do check it out! Application has to be done via the website www.singaporeair.com/careers under "Cadet Pilot (Singapore)". A closing date was not indicated on the advert.
