Dear JAL stewardress,

I was reading through the thread and hearing some comments from people around me that the culture in JAL is really hard to get used to.. One of them told me that when they started training in Japan, its very tough for them and they were not treated very nicely..
I would like to hear from more JAL FA out there..
Can anyone kindly share?
Is it really that bad? that people start to regret after joining?
Is the route that bad too till some people hardly fly in a month?

Thanks to comment so that we can understand this job even more before we stepped into the field.. :)

culture is something that u should learn and get use to since u intend to join a japanese company.. it's basically,a japanese company?!?!!! as what i know, training in japan is tough but the people are nice there..

i dont know the meaning of 'not treated very nicely' means.. people do back out,but due to many reasons.. :? usually not because of the company.. cos of culture as mentioned, this job is not as 'glam' as they thought of,everything is not a bed of roses as it's not only just about being a high flying waitress etc etc..

to what i know, those who only flies 1-2 flights per month is because they are the trainers for trainees (ground job)..schedules are not as bad.. it is reasonable.. :)

someone mentioned that the pay here compared with SQ.. in my point of view, yes,SQ flies more routes, definitely more money and better compared to few routes here.. but thing is,u cant get the same amount of pay here in SQ when u do the same amount of job..

SQ service as people know, its very good.. but u gotta work alot and much more harder than compared to JAL.. not saying we dont work hard though.. as in if SQ flies the same few routes as JAL now, same pay,but JAL workload is much lighter..

once again, depend onhow u look at it.. :P

anyway, i am interested to join JAL but i have a question, if i were to break the bond, would the bond be pro-rated like SQ or we need to pay the full lump sum??

really appreciate if anyone from JAL would reply me
