Good location to purchase CPU DESKS ?

Post by MoTokyo » Sun, 26 Nov 2006 10:35 pm

Does anyone know of a good location to purchase cpu desks that aren't made of cheap fiberboard like those found in Ikea ? I have tried searching around and everything seems to be ugly, too small (no top shelfs) or made of cheap fiberboard.

Help on this?

I think that you will find most furniture here will be of MDF or such. Have you tried vHive (There is one in Funan Centre), or Challenger? (also in Funan).

Or you you have the budget go to ScanTeak.

Pet peeve: CPU means "Central Processing Unit", and it's the little Pentium-or-whatever thingy that your computer uses as its tiny little brain. Your CPU resides in the loving arms of its motherboard and doesn't require any additional desk.

On the other hand, the big box you plunk on top of your desk is called -- gasp -- a computer.

Thanks for the help.

I visited ScanTeak at ParkPlace; They did not sell office or pc desks. Vhive had a gruesome range of cheap plywood but I did spot a fairly decent glass arrangement. I'm thinking of going to a carpenter to have something created for my CPU's new home.

Thanks again.
