Job opportunity for a LAWYER in SINGAPORE

I have been a qualified Romanian lawyer since 2000. I will be re-qualifying as an English solicitor in 2007.
I have already gained extensive work experience in both jurisdictions.

I am planning to relocate to Singapore in the next few months and I am looking for a job in the legal field.

Can anyone give me some information about job opportunities in this area?

Can you help with details about recruiters who are specialised in legal?

Hi, there are quite a few legal recruiters out there. Law Alliance, Legal Labs, Recruit Legal, Taylor Root and Hughes Castell. All of them have both in-house and private practice placements.

The areas which are in demand are banking, asset finance, Debt and Capital Markets, securitisation, funds, M&As. There's also a lot of demand for in-house positions particularly within the banking industry.

Get in touch with the recruiters and take it from there.

I found your advice very useful. As you suggested, I will start checking with those legal recruiters about any opportunities over there. It might be a bit difficult if I am not yet in Singapore for a face-to-face interview, but it should be a starting point anyway. Thanks a lot.
