Live music

Post by dubaijock » Sat, 18 Nov 2006 6:19 pm

Can anyone tell me where I can get information on any live music in Singapore? Plenty of lists of pubs and clubs etc, but difficult to find which have live groups playing?

New to Singapore, so I lack local intel

Thanks

John

..or if you're looking for that "garage band/acoustic" ambience,

check out Timbre Bistro @ Armenian St.
Wala-Wala @ Holland Village, and
Roomful of Blues @ Prinsep St.

Muddy Murphys Irish Pub (across from Orchard Towers) usually has a great line up on Thursdays through Sunday! Be sure to check out the bands Oil Field Trash and Blue Jade!
If you want to play with the Big Dogs you can't pee like a Puppy!

Can I have some examples of the songs played by Satellite at Le Baroque? I was told it's rock.

How about Energy and UnXpected?

Any Motley Crue, ya?

There's another very established local band Jive Talkin' they are pretty good too! Heard they are doing more rock these days. They are playing at a new venue now... this new place in Clarke Quay

The Pump Room if I am not wrong

Is there a publication or website that offers listings for live music?

Try I-S magazine, it is a weekly free publications that is found in restaurants, coffee houses etc. They normally have upcoming gigs and what is happening in the clubs. They also have a web site (see below).
