Running Shoes?

Post by Genesis » Sat, 18 Nov 2006 2:55 am

Can anybody recommend a good shop in Sing to buy decent running shoes? I've gone to various shops like National, etc. but the salespeople know squat about shoes. Most important is looking at the foot type (mine are flat) and recommending a decent fitting pair of running shoes. Please help....

First go to Junction 8 shopping Mall on the first floor, there is a guy specialing in footware, I believe he makes custom inners for all footware.

He can actually shape, the inners, to your needs, just at the top of the elevator, so that you get the support, that your foot needs, So the shoe is not that important anymore, other than the colour, you want.

BTW I haven't discussed with him, I just observed what he was up to. Pretty sure he was a foot specialist. You can always get the shoes at the same mall after you have talked with him.

Go see Jeffery at Feder Sports in Penninsular Plaza. He has had numerous recommendations on other message boards over the years, including from serious runners I know, and they really are justified.

Don't be put off by the chaotic shop, he really knows his stuff. Take old trainers with you so he can check your wear pattern before making recommendations. He will interrogate you to ensure you are getting the right shoes for your needs!

Take any orthotics you wear, too. I ended up with Asics; their suitability and his knowledge impressed my osteopath.
