Thank you for having the courtesy to ask.

This would depend (speaking from my point of view and not the Admins). If the Art Exhibition is free, not profit oriented (nothing for sale) and no cost to enter as well (in other words, completely altruistic in form and function), I would see no harm in posting it in the Events, Gatherings & Making Friends Forum.
However, if any money will be changing hands for any reason then it should be posted in the "Classifieds" section (which is free).
Alternatively, sent an email to admin@singaporeexpats.com to request permission to post the event in the Forum. My best advice.

All forum members have to post their events in the Classifieds, unless it is an outing from the regular group members in the specific group folders.

We will PM members whenever we feel there is a right candidate to take up a 'moderator' post. The person can choose to accept the post.
