Applying for SPR under dependants?

Post by Tea4u » Thu, 16 Nov 2006 11:07 am

Hi all,
He's a SPR but currently he's holding a Permanent Residence under Professionals/Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers in SG. His wife & childs are all Singaporeans. He has been working in SG more than 20 years till now.

Noticed from my friends that if he did not work within 6 months in SG, his PR will need to be returned to ICA ? is it true ? if yes,

Would it be better for him if he could re-apply a SPR under sponsor for Husband on its own merits so call "dependants" rather than his current PR under Professionals/skilled workers? Just wondering whether he may not be working but yet he could stay in SG as long as he likes as SPR under dependants.

Thanks for your help.
Best regards

Huh? The PR is valid until the date stamped in the passport, no questions asked. After that date, you'll need to show ICA that you're earning money in Singapore before they will renew it.

singapore PR

Post by wuboy888 » Mon, 27 Nov 2006 3:26 pm

Hi

I have recently applied for singapore PR with my Singaporean Wife as my sponsor,

I am currently working overseas but would obviously want to live nad work in singpaore if my PR is approved, My current salary is 130k annually but my qualifications are only up to college level.

Would the immigration deny me when i am married to a singaporean, Has anyone ever heard of the immigration denying spouses PR status?

Your response is very much appreciated as i cant seem to think why in the world they would deny me PR status and have us live abroad for the rest of our lives...
