Post by shaziiee » Wed, 15 Nov 2006 3:57 pm

Hi Guys,
I need your suggestions, I am from India, IT Professional, I got an offer from Singapore, Its a 1 year contract (extendable) and they are offering me SD 4,000 (inclusive all, except Insurance and medical) per month. Please tell me can I survive in this offer with some saving or not ? I am married but no kids, what is living cost in singapore? How much I can save and also please tell me the Tax in Singapore.

Thanks
Ali

Yes, you will be able to get by in Singapore and, if you live reasonably frugally, take some savings back. Try this link for information on tax: http://www.iras.gov.sg/ESVPortal/iit/index.asp
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

I guess it's 3 times more than most of the unskilled locals with Children, so yes, i think you could save yourself some cash, if you live like the locals do, even easier with no children, and you and your wife can eat out every day and still save.

You will manage fine i would think, cook your meals at home, so there's money in the bank!
