hi Plavt - do you think this course is good and worth the money ? pls advise.. further details below..

i just called the red dot up..
its a 2 day course and its scheduled on 25th and 26th Nov. it cost $280 with a $50 deposit. we are to pay the full fee before course starts.
they mentioned they will teach us role play and on grooming ourselves and some team building skills as well cos we have to learn to work together.


any takers? anyone interested?

From a purely personal point of view no. I really don't see the point, if an airline you choose to apply for finds you acceptable they will train you according to their criteria for which in most cases you will get paid.

Applications to airlines are very competitive and companies such as this know only too well there will always be those who will use these courses to try to assure themselves of being accepted The fact is it will not
guarantee anything.

The price is a lot of money for two days and it would be best to find people who have been on the course or more specifically whether it has benefited any of them although I admit that would not be easy.

Verdict: In your shoes, I would keep the money and concentrate on planning my application for the airline for which I was applying.

Thanks heaps Plavt. you've been of great help with your knowledge of this industry. i really appreciate your replies..if i were to fly to UK one day, i wish to ask you out for Coffee! hahaha

anyway i will concentrate and focus on my application and brush up on my weak points for now.
