Hi,
I'm relocating to Sigapore soon and need some advise on the best location to live.
My children will probably attend the Australian School and I will work in the CBD.
I'm considering the East Coast as a place to live but is the travel time to the school to long for primany aged kids (although we plan to lease a car)?
If so any suggestings on
condos for up to $S5000 pm for a 3-4 bedroom that would suit our needs????
Thanks

Hi Aussieboy,
East Coast is a good place to live in, but morning traffic along ECP (east coast parkway) could be a killer.
The following are some
International School near East Coast
Chatsworth International School at Jalan Tembusu (Katong Area)
Etonhouse International School at Broadrick Road (Katong Area)
Hope it is useful..

Most schools have an arrangement with a local bus operator who will ferry the kids to and from school if there are enough people in the same area.
Given that the East Coast is popular with expats and the flexibility offered by your budget I don't see you will have a problem.
I don't have personal experience of the Aussie Int'l School though so you may be best advised to check with them just in case. I'd be surprised if a search on Google didn't turn up the conatct details.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

good choice, near the beach, near parkway parade the shoppin mall, quite accessible to CBD by the "expressway" but i heard the morning peak hour is a killer.
budget of SG$5000 should be able to get u quite a nice unit in a
condo.
Rental prices are edging slowly up, act fast
all the best.

I also spent about 5 months in JH as well, from 1 Sept 1947 to around the end of Feb of '48. It's the main reason I'm still here today....
