Hi all
My husband and I have been in Singapore for about 7 weeks now, and I'm starting to feel like I need to get active. I've never regularly played a team sport before, but after getting into some World Cup inspired 5-a-side football over ther summer in Europe, I'm inspired! Also being new in Singapore it would be a great chance to meet new people.
So I'd appreciate any suggestions or information anyone might have on what I could do about finding the right sport and people (ladies or mixed) to play with who'd welcome a newbie. I did enjoy the football and I'm a big fan of rugby union and wouldn't mind giving touch rugby a go, although having said that I am really keen to find out about any team sport opportunities at all out there.
Cheers!

AnnaTh,
I am another fan of football (World Cup) too. I like playing football, being goalie. I work fulltime so weekday playing will be difficult.

It's water sport, isn't it.... I am not so familiar . They have "training" side but impossible to get to

. How about we consider playing like Hamz1978 suggested?

do you mean you couldnt access 'training' session? that's weird, since i tried just now and i could.
there are 12-20 paddlers on a boat, depends it's a short or long boat. we just passed a big race on Boat Quay, so it's a good time to join - even tho we might have to take a break due to lots of members would be on holiday. the parties wont stop tho! you could always go to 'forum' session to see what we are up to!

Cinder,
Thanks I just logged in the "training". It sounds fun

FYI, the problem is with the link
within the text (it points to the non-existing
http://www.gaelicdragons.org/Training).
The button at the top of the page works fine.
Anyway, the sport looks like fun, I hope to join in sometime soon.
