This link is quite annoying at times

See what i mean http://classifieds.singaporeexpats.com/ I can occassionally get to classifieds on one click, but I have noticed many times when i take at least 3 clicks on the mouse, to get there!

I think the old link is the culprit here! Totally messed up now the links go straight there to the classifieds.

Can any of the mods or Joop update the link to a direct link to the classifieds. I'm sure people also get the impression there is no classifieds at all, when the last post showing was july 20th, and thats why people are posting anywhere. OK OK its only the link in the Help New & Archive that takes you to the archive classifieds, not direct to the latest classifieds.

Yes I'm aware of the other link, although i am confused by the link that is located in Help, News & archive section, why they don't either delete it or update it. it takes 3 clicks on the mouse to get to the classifieds. and just looking at it, seems like it as never been used since july 20th.

What is confusing me, is that i copied the link into my first post, and the link works direct from my post, but it is not working direct from where it is in help news & archives. it takes me 3 mouse clicks, or at least rename the link to classified archives.

I think what Pal wants to achieve is to have people to go to the page itself (above link), and people to click on the ANNOUNCEMENT, http://www.singaporeexpats.com/forum/ftopic24253.html read the instructions and go to the new classifieds.

If there is a direct re-direction to the classifieds, then people won't get to read the Announcement in the forum.

As for those who spam and post classifieds in the forum - are obvious, they do not read at all.

I think the easiest way to go about doing it is to just click on the top left link for Classifieds and it's hassle free navigation.

yes that's right! I do agree, that the link is easier from the top, however it is mostly when I am scanning close to the help, news & archive section, that I think, I'll just pop into classifieds to have a read, but go to the archive then click through.

If however, I log on with the intention of going straight to the classifieds, I do use the top link icon.

I just thought i would mention it, I can break the habit. I just think it's a waste of time and effort to go to the archive first which closed on july 20th, just don't see the point.

I think the archive should have its own link, and those wanting to search the archive can go there,

Those going to the classifieds can first go to the classified announcement if need be, but once the announcement is read, its pretty useless, any announcement should be in the forum itself on the classified page. But it's only me complaining so far, so no point really. it was just an observation
