Nope. Silkair is totally different from SIA.

You do not even get to step out of the airport if you fly with Silkair. All you get are turn-around flights.

Everyday you fly out of Singapore, wait in the airport of the other country, then fly back to Singapore to sleep.

The countries you fly to are also those neighbouring ones like Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia.. Spend a few hours waiting in the airport then fly back to Singapore again.

How should I phrase this.

Silkair isn't a budget airline - the service isn't rushed and it's considered a very good airline regionally. The pay is professionally compared to the shitty ones of some the LCC.

I think Silkair is a good place to gain an understanding of service and the flows and progress onto bigger things. If you're looking for a chance to travel around - then Silkair is not for you.

Different people have different ambitions - Some may like turnaround flights - some may not. One rule for survival in the industry - If you have an opinion - Shut up. It'll go a long way.... :)

Folks please don't let this thread disintegrate into a battle-ground, I know one poster is causing ill-feeling but try not to take too much notice. I have split this thread and placed some of it in Leisure, jokes and rubbish with my apologies to one or two of who didn't say anything provocative but there is no way to keep some posts seperate.

Plavt.
