Any job opportunities for Hungarian/English speaking lady?

Post by muratkorman » Wed, 25 Oct 2006 5:42 pm

Hello everyone,

I have introduced myself today to this forum. My girlfriend who is Hungarian would like to come with me to Singapore. My relocation will be probably in February 2007. I am sending this post to know if there are some Hungarians who are members to this forum and who can advise my girlfriend about finding a job when she comes. She will very soon become a member, but I start the preliminary search for her.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Murat

Looking for a job in Singapore would depend largely on the candidate's
* qualifications
* relevant job experience
* industry the person is interested in

rather than the candidate's country of origin or nationality.

For a start, check out

Good luck
:)

Thanks for your suggestions. In fact, I also know that I haven't provided any useful information. One of the reason of my post was to seek for some Hungarians who live or make business in Singapore. She cannot be so selective with jobs since our aim is to get a residence permit for her. Otherwise she can only stay 1 month with me. I am also searching how I can get a dependent pass for her. As we are not married, it should be really difficult, but I am checking all alternatives so that we can stay together. Anyway time will show what we can do. Have a nice week :)
With my kind regards

Couples who have lived together could apply for Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) provided your employer is willing to sponsor her as well.

You'll need to stand in front of a commissioner of oaths and certify you have been living together as man and wife, ie: "Common Law" or "de facto" relationship. You then take the signed letter to your embassy and get them to verify it and issue another letter. Submit these letters together with the LTSVP form. Singapore does not recognize common law relationships, but they will accept them from countries that do.

The LTSVP will be tied to your Employment Pass (EP) and have exactly the same expiry date.

If she gets a job, she can get her own EP and cancel the LTSVP.

Why not ask her to start applying for jobs via e-mail and line up a couple of interviews.
