Food there is horribly overpriced and mediocre, while the standing-room-only bar (no seats at all) is always crowded and the bouncers at the door are strict. But the live jazz is nice and the views are amazing

Vertigo, atop the Banyan Tree, has the same concept and predates the Dome by a few months. It's less packed and has seating even if you just want to go for a drink, but the wafts of hot air from the kitchen ventilation shafts are a bit annoying...

how much is expensive? is it like $100/pax for a meal or $500/pax for a meal?

Don't like the dome, it's too crowded.
If it's only for dinner, Vertigo is much better atmosphere... and just as nice view. Dinner for 2, cost me something like 6000 baht or so. That's about 200+ Sing.

Depends on what you eat, but IIRC the set menus were in the 2000-4000 baht range, not including drinks. So maybe $200/pax if you get a bottle of decent wine.

Very far from it. Altivo is atop a pathetic little hill; the Dome is 200m above the city centre of Bangkok. Think of Equinox here in Singapore, only with railings instead of glass walls and only stars instead of a roof overhead.
