I can sort of understand why it is done, they want to get feet in stores but surely it would be a major benefit for shoppers to be able to compare prices before choosing where to go to get that great deal.
I find this really surprising for Singapore who seem to be so advanced in most things but lacking in this respect. Such a large potential market missed.
Maybe someone should approch the various stores and advocate the benefits of puting details on line
. I for one would rather not have to go traipsing around multiple stores wasting a day looking for a good deal when i could spend an hour online to find the cheapest place which has what I want.
I did find this place for A/V and white box goods http://www.tolayonline.com.sg/index.asp
but please note I have never used them so I cannot pass comment on them. It just gives me an idea of prices for certian things in Singapore.
