Hi Lisa - I actually arrived in Singapore yesterday, we managed to take out cat inside the cabin of a Lufthansa flight which went connected via Frankfurt from London, and it was actually very smooth and our cat was much more comfortable then I would image she would be in the cargo.Lisafuller wrote: ↑Fri, 30 Jul 2021 10:47 amNot surprised. We tried importing a puppy from the US last year- was such a nightmare that we ended up just getting one from a local pet shop that they had imported in.ashtag06 wrote: ↑Fri, 30 Jul 2021 6:17 amI see.. unfortunately the air line staff don't seem to understand how it all works either!Lisafuller wrote: ↑Wed, 28 Jul 2021 6:37 pm
You would probably have to board the cat at a boarding facility and arrange for the staff to pick the cat up from the airport since you won’t be able to transport him there yourself.
We picked her up from the quarantine facility today at Changi airport and the poor thing is panting and in complete distress. I do wonder how she was kept over night. She was wearing a cat diaper which we asked the officers to remove, as she refused to go to toilet in it during the transit, but they didn't and in the end it had been 2-3 days since she had been to the toilet. I'm really quite upset at the trauma that she's been through in her overnight stay, I just hope she recovers.
