Chinese mandarin for babies

Post by pecas » Mon, 09 Oct 2006 8:47 pm

I'm looking for a childcare/nursery where I can enroll my 8 month old so he can start getting used to the mandarin language.... Does anyone can recommend a place? it doesn't have to be an everyday thing....
Thanks,

Thanks,
They are every where you go, however 8 months old, I don't know what the age limit is. gosh even a 3 year old can pick it u in no time, I shouldn't worry about it. My daughter is fluent at 5 and speaks better Mandarin than English, she also speaks singlish, malay and Indian, Kids pick it up so easy

Hi there!
I recommend the Julia Gabriel´s playnest. I enrolled my daughter at the Mandarin-only class when she was 11months old. It is 3 times a week/1,5hours. You have to be with her. The teacher was gorgious, and we loved it, especially my daughter. Oh, and I found out that the earlier you expose them, the better. The window closes with 12 months, when the article was correct. Now she understand Chinese better than I do... (She´s 18 months now).

Greetings, Bi Lin.
