Where in Singapore can I find a half-decent hardware store? Even a "Homefix DIY" type of place somewhere around Orchard would be a good start (their homepage hasn't been updated for 6 years and is useless...), but one of those big box Ace's Hardware types would be even better.

Yes, Handyman Centre recently moved from Shaw House to the Lucky Plaza location.
It is small but has lots of items you might not find in the HomeFix DIY stores.

There are also a couple of stores next to each other on the ground floor of the Orchard Towers rear block. next to Jason's.

Check out the suburbs. There are rundown hardware store everywhere that offers value for money! Places like Sims Vista.

Another vendor that might be useful is Raptor Supplies www.raptorsupplies.com.sg. Looks like they offer delivery of Grainger part numbers other US industrial parts to Singapore.
