Chatsworth / Eton?

Post by jersey_girl » Sun, 17 Sep 2006 11:46 am

We will be relocating to Singapore from the US in December. We have an eight-year-old who is currently in Grade 3 and will be in Year 4 in Singapore. Since we will be living in the East Coast, I looked at Chatsworth East and Eton as I wanted smaller schools while she is still young. Once she finishes Year 6 then I would like to move her to UWC.

My question is, which of the two is better academically? If any of you have any feedback or comments I would greatly appreciate it. I visited both schools but Chatsworth East had not begun the school year yet so I didn't get to see it 'in operation'.

Thanks for the help![/b]

Does Eton go up to grade 6?

I knew a family who had 3 girls attending Chatworth East until they moved in July to India. They were happy with the campus as they had previously been down off Orchard.

Hi
Just to give you my experiece. My son went to Eton and is now at Chatsworth in Orchard. I have also been to Chatsworth on the East and liked that too (it was too far for me). I think generally Chatsworth is better, they seem very family orientated and more International. I found Eton a mix of Singaporean/Expat, my son came back with more Singlish phrases which I did not like. Also the pressure to conform from a young age was quite high, my son was very willful and I had complaints every day. Pls feel free to email me at : [email protected] if you want to ask any specific questions. Will be glad to help if I can.
