Hanji Bunty here again,I come back to your rescue.!! :D

Bintan is great for a spa. not much shopping. It depends how much you want to spend. They have Banyan Tree there ,which has GORGEOUS romantic looking villas but then again abt 600+ i think.

Then you also have the Angsana Spa, which is also nice.Check out the links below.: its about $280 for the villa. 1 day 1 night. You can call SPAMMER Travel and check how much they charging at 64678558.

http://www.angsana.com/bintan/roomssuites/index.htm this is Angsana Spa ok.

Banyan Tree :

Check out the villas..very romantic..

The link below is for Holiday Bagus ,a Travel agency :

But if you are looking for something cheaper, check out www.wtstravel.com.sg and click on the Bintan Agro Escapade.they have quite a few range.

The ferry is about 45 mins from here.If you are holding Singapore passport no problem, but if you are still hanging on to a Indian passport then you can get visa on arrival at Bintan.I think its US$10.

You have a great weekend, but I heard there is nothing much to shop there. When I stayed there I was at the lagoon side.It was a company trip so dint explore much there. But yeah do try out the massage all there ok.

If you're looking for a decent budget hotel, then there's Mana Mana Beach Club too. Rustic but comfortable with good service.

Apart from massage, you can also try snorkelling, catamaran sailing and many other water sports. I tried snorkelling for the first time and it was fantastic. The corals are not that great but still worth a snorkel. Other than that, you can laze around on the beach with beers. :D
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

I'm afraid I can't help you with that info because someone else had booked the hotel for us. But for ferries you can go here:

hi,
my husband and i did a one night getaway to bintan a few months back. we took a ferry from the tanah merah terminal and stayed at the bintan lagoon resort.if you are looking for something really luxurious, try the banyan tree. it was an enjoyable stay, the waves were incredible!it would be nice to make it a 2 night stay though as one night flies by.
