Help! Roti Channai & Roti Prata or Planta?

a big fan of these 2 roti. I knew them by name and i love to yumm them. I just wondering what's the different between this two? Someone said roti planta? Roti prata?

Anyone knows where to have a real good one in Singapore?

Planta might be the butter they use for cooking..

What i know of is Prata that you mentioned.

Almost every stall selling pratas are good. Just make sure they prepare right before your eyes!

Jalan Kayu is well known and also some stalls along Upper Thomson.

Freindly neighbourhood stalls also sells good pratas.. :cool:

Any particular restaurant name in upper thomson road? never been there before but i wish to pay a vist with my husband maybe this weekend :D

drive along upp thomson rd towards Sambawang.The Prata shop is right at the corner along some shop houses.

What is commonly known as Roti Chennai in M'sia is called Roti Prata in Singapore. It's often sold by Indian stalls in coffee shops/food courts/hawker centres.

However, if you were to go to the Indian restaurants, they would be listed as Parota if South Indian or Paratha if North Indian.

PS: Chennai is the other name for Madras
