It is very easy. Be it Sole Proprietor or Pte Ltd for that matter. Being successful is a different story however.

You do realize that to start a home based business in an HDB flat, you cannot have any non-family members working for you, nor can you have commercial walk-in traffic. It might be wise to note the limitations to home base businesses on you blog as well as you are giving misleading information by not including ALL the facts.

Singapore is the easiest place to run a business, but can be costly unless you know what you want to do and are you a subject matter expert in your area. SME, that the key word when you want to do business or what do you have which is special, unique or even propertriey.
Most business singapore is in the stage of what we call hand to mouth, might be better off working , at least you dont have that stress, reduce responsibility and no liability. But than the rewards are not there. Do your own business means, seeing the light at the end of a tunnel, jsut make sure it is not a on coming train. Cheers.
Satish and i work with .. I see many success and failure yearly. Best of luck.

Just to add... Singapore's asset mapping, ie, infrastructure mapping... is excellent. It would be worth a trip to the URA... Urban Redevelopment...
