Starhub hold my deposit !

Post by amb » Fri, 08 Sep 2006 11:18 pm

Dear folks,

I left Singapore about 3 month ago, I found frustated about getting my deposit $250 back from Starhub. I cancelled the services (broadband and cable) before I leave and the customer service in Plaza Singapura assured me to send the money into my bank.

It's never happen in the next four weeks weeks then I sent email twice to get another "assurance" but ended up as a sweet lip service.

I phoned them from UK twice and again they said everything in process until now I will travel back to Singapore next Monday for another bussiness trip. I will sort it out my self and make sure they do what they promised three months ago.

Starhub really put me down with this particular issue regarding deal with non PR (ie expat). So guys ..what do you think then ? Anyone out there got similar experience ?

Amb

Did you fulfill your agreed contract period? If not, they can withhold all or part of the deposit as appropriate. If this does not apply, please let us know if they are continuing to unreasonably withhold your money as I do not want to find myself in the same position after I leave.

Oh yes, we had 12month contract which end about 3weeks (March 06) before we cut the services. We returned the box and everything on it. We left the country on May after officially went to their office representative in Plaza Singapura Flr 2. I did not see any point that they hold my account. It's been promised many times since I had last contact with them many weeks ago. To be honest I am not trust them anymore.

Dear amb,

Our experience with starhub is perfect so far. When we moved out from singapore years ago - they return our deposit but I cant recall how fast/slow it came. I'm sure you'll get it back
