Sydney - Sing transfer

Hi all

I have been reading this site for a few months now and its been a wealth of great information for me as i will be migrating to Singapore next year.

One thing that has confused me though is the visa requirements to work and how they work overall.

I have been with my fiance for 10years and we have a baby girl but are not married.

What hurdles does this throw our way for getting the correct visa so we can both work whilst in singapore.

FYI and helping with the responce. I will be moving with my company who are a global organisation and a top 20 branded company. My fiance will look for work (maybe on arrival)

Hi.

Appreciate your response but I think I have mislead you.

What I am looking for is the pitfalls of getting a work visa in Singapore. Am I guaranteed to get one? Is my partner (not my wife) guaranteed to get one as well?

I appreciate your link and suggestion though.

I'm no expert in this field as I am still waiting for my EP but from what I have read on various websites, you should be able to obtain a dependant's pass for your fiance should YOU get one first. Your employment pass depends on your merits such as salary, education, qualifications etc. You can get more information about eligibility criteria from the Ministry of Manpower website. As for your fiance, if she wants to work then she will have to apply on her own merits. No one is guaranteed an EP from what I have read. It is based on those qualifications and if the MoM considers the position something that can be filled with local talent vs foreigners. My two cents anyways. As I said, I'm no expert. Just been doing a lot of reading lately. Hope it helps.
