Quality of SIA stewards

Post by Nikki1166 » Wed, 06 Sep 2006 10:58 pm

Any existing or ex SIA stewardesses can give advice on these...

Are there more gays than hunks in SIA?
I heard from a friend there are many nice guys in the airline but some are buayas who call the stewardesses in the middle of the night just to get fresh.
She personally experienced once last month & gave in to the supervisor of the flight who called her at 3am when she was on her 2nd solo flight to Perth.
But she was lucky cos this supervisor is a nice guy.
He said he could not sleep, so he wanted to teach her job duities as a new stewardess.
My friend did not know how to turn him down cos she does not want to offend him as he was the supervisor of the flight.
She allowed him into her room & he stayed there the whole night & did not leave her room till it was time to check out the next afternoon.
My friend was taught on her job duties while they drank the champagne that he had brought along, my friend is not a good drinker but she drank anyway. Got tipsy & fell asleep.
Her clothes was still intact when she woke up the next day so she did not suspect that anything had happened between them.
The supervisor explained that he did not want to leave her alone in the room as it is his job to look after the welfare of his staff.
My friend had high respect for him after that as a caring boss.

Pls advise what should new stewardesses do if faced with such a situation cos I'm sure not all bosses are as gentleman as my friend's boss. I'm now 19 years old, same as my friend & I do have intention to join SIA soon.

A very generalised post but a situation that I have encountered as well as some of my batch girls as well - IFS asking a SNY at 3am to teach her? - Come on! Either your friend was so dumb (Yes, I am going to use that word) not to reject or make up some excuse.

If you act "gong", make yourself a victim, you're going to get some unwanted attention. Politely decline, make an excuse and move on. Mine was nice nice but wanted flesh. I got my revenge :) Politely decline, better being a bitch than a whore.

Some tips - Never invite a steward in the room alone. Meet in groups, don't make yourself known as a SPG or loose.

Gay/hunks? Are you expecting Manhunt International? Of course there are gay, bisexuals, trisexuals (LOL).

I agree with toygirl, calling a stewardess at 3 am to teach her 'job duties' is simply a euphemism to 'teach' her something else if I can put it that way. No female with any sense would let a man into her room at that hour of the morning. You may or may not remember the incident in Los Angeles involving a Taiwanese stewardess for SIA. To me it is only to obvious what was going on there, plus the event that Ryanstarr mentions sometime earlier in this forum.

Plavt.

Don't worry too much, just look after yourself, if anything like it happens, just say, are you looking to go to prison for a long time! or use the sexual harassment act, against them. they will run a mile!!! Just keep cool and don't show any sign of weakness. NO means NO, keep away from those that have already had alcohol!

Thanks for all your kind advice.
I guessed my friend was not very street smart. What is a SNY?
You mentioned you had someone trying to be flesh with you too.... What was your revenge like?
That guy must have regretted what he try to do to you. Could he be the same supervisor who went to my friend's room at 3am?

Supernumerary SNY flight - Training flight. LOL - You really don't want to know what I did to that guy. I grin as I think about it. Been years.

If you think you're being harrassed by a colleague, let your Cabin Crew Mgr or Cabin Crew Exec know or if you're still in STC training, let your instructor know so they can help you.

I'm actually extremely to know what you did to that guy. Could be of great help to me & my friend who just join SIA last month & had a supervisor staying in her room the whole night while she fell asleep after having a drink or two. Perhaps you can share your revenge with me by emailing to me at [email protected]

Sorry, not going to tell you the revenge part - Be creative! Somethings are better not revealed :)

IFS are not immune from disciplinary actions. Just put it this way.
