Hi everyone,

my name is usman, 25, single. i'll be moving to sg by mid september for two years. Can anyone guide me about renting an apartment in Central SG.... my range is 700-900 SGD. How do i look for people interested in sharing??

Usman, I'm in the same boat as you are. 25, single, and moving to SG in mid-Sept for 2 years. :) Only my budget is limited to SGD450, tops.

Right now I'm using an agent the company set me up with to find a room with my specs. I'll end up paying half a months rent as commission for the agent, but I figure it's worth it since I am from out of town and don't know the area.

Classifieds are ok, but the good rooms tend to go way too fast and it's been difficult to coordinate with the renters. (but maybe it's just me)

Funnily enough, I'm looking to move somwhere in/around central SG, since I will be working in Chinatown. You wouldn't happen to be an illustrator? :-)
