Does anyone know where to buy futons in Singapore?

Post by ynove » Wed, 30 Aug 2006 7:53 pm

I can't seem to find any retailers selling futons, futon beds or sofabeds in Singapore. If anyone has any leads, please let me know.

Thanks!

Ikea sells one model of futon sofabed, from what I know. But does Ikea sell futons separately? I went through Ikea's mattresses etc. online, they seem to only sell the conventional mattresses only. any idea?

Sorry, pineapple building? Maybe you could give a landmark or sthing nearby, or the district of the place if you can't remember the building's name. Thanks!

Sorry it slipped my mind, while i was writing, Theatre on the bay at Esplanada, there is a Japanese shop, selling all sorts of high quality furniture, real japanese futon designs, very nice but pricy, It's underground on the way to MRT station, but just below the theatre level.

This is funny. It's formally known as The Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay. But popularly known as the "Durian". Come to think of it, it could pass for a pineapple too!

It certainly smells much better than a "Durian" I was photographing the roof, from long distance at the time, yes it could pass for a pineapple shape!

I tried Durian ice cream for the first time last week and it was quite nice, but that smell lingers for a while!

Hey folks - Thought I would revive this thread to ask the same question, but with 2011 answers!

Does anyone know where I can now get a good futon (the Ikea ones are a bit cheapo and more like a convertible couch.

The type we are looking for are like this:http://www.cambridgefutons.com/wooden_futons.html
