The figure I gave is from my best friend who has been with BA SIN base for years.... The bulk of the money comes from allowances - Base is low.
LHR/LGW UK crew earn 8000 as a fresher - they usually get the shorthaul flights.
$$$$ = All dependant on your scheduling........... Need I say more?

Hi all,
I'm interested to apply for British Airways. Does anybody know which are ALL the routes and destinations that SIN based crew operate? Really appreciate your replies, thanks!

The primary routes are China, Australia and London Heathrow. More may come. If you're looking into going to USA, other parts of Europe, Africa and Middle East - Then keep walking.

thanks for ur reply toygurl, are u a ba crew?
1. when u say primary routes, does that mean there're other routes that sin based crew can operate? what is the criteria to operate these other routes?
will really appreciate any further info u have abt ba.
2. how do u find the culture of working in ba? do u have any experiences to share?
3. what is the pay/benefits/ off days like for sin based crew?
4. do u wear heels for the entire flight (i have shin injury and cannot wear heels for too long)
thanks in advance! =)

I know SIN based BA crew only flies to those destinations, and it has been that way for YEARS, so I doubt its going to change anytime soon. They definitely want someone with a Strong command of mandarin, coz you have to do translations of all PA, even impromptu ones with nothing for u to read.
I think every airline crew have to wear heels throughout the flight (unless u are a guy). If you can't wear heels for long hours, maybe its not a job for you, coz you not only have to wear heels, you have to be on your feet walking around the cabin most of the time.

Likely to remain so as BA purposely employs natives of certain countries based on the fact they know the language and culture. Not infrequently it is often very difficult to find speakers of certain other languages in the UK, (e.g. Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Japanese, Korean). Hence the situation above.
Plavt.

I believe the cut off date for the application is 2nd october? By then would they review all the applications and contact those who are selected.

yup, 2nd oct is the closing date. so i suppose they will only inform the selected ones after the closing date.
but i guess won't be so soon, as in 1 or 2 weeks time.. cos the training is next year, jan/feb. so they have plenty of time to inform the selected ones. maybe will inform after a month's time?
good luck to everyone who applied!

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
