For a newbie in the UK around a miserly £8000.

British Airways
International Cabin Crew Singapore
P.O.Box 24, Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1

Applications must reach us by 2 Oct 2006 only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview. the selection process involves several stages: initial paper screen, first preliminary assessment, second preliminary assessment, final interview, full medical examination and employment references and criminal record checks.
should you be successful, you must be prepared to attend a 4-6 weeks training course in the UK in Jan/Feb'07. to travel extensively and be away from home on a regular basis.

for ur convenience ;p

Annually - £8000 a month you'd be lucky to see a thousand. :o

Oh no...I used the A4 size brown envelop coz dat can hold everything nicely.I roughly estimated the amount for the stamp.Think there's no need to go all the way to the post office to weigh coz the package is not very heavy.

BA SIN base - Salary is paid in pounds - After converting to SGD - On average, it is between S$3.5K - S$5K. Your route are fixed and you will be the language qualified professional - I.e - all the Mandarin/Canto pax will be DUMPED to you.

The introductions are in proper fluent Mandarin as you have to do announcements, there are script reading and impromptu situation where they ask you to translate. Ad is for SINGAPORE citizens - Not PR - Visa issues. Turnover is low for this base. But it is on a 1 year contract - If you screw up, you're history - as per all organisations. LOL - Don't worry about the looks for this airline :P As long you're presentable, know your stuff, you'll do fine.

Velvet/Toygirl,
The figure I quoted for the UK is correct however it is possible they pay more for Singapore based crew. I am a little surprised at the figure mentioned by toygirl but she undoubtly knows.

What they pay in the UK is on their website somewhere but the design and the fact that they keep moving things makes it hard to find. I will have another look.

Do please note they have a lot of varying rates due to changes in contract
and conditions and as a result those with a lot of service are sometimes in receipt of three times as much as a newbie. As I stated earlier, the figure I quoted is correct in the UK although I have no idea of allowances.
