Don't worry. The test doesn't involve any jabs or needles.
Juz urine test, followed by a body check like what I've mentioned in an earlier post.
No charges involved either.

Hi Ruggle & Luv_BA,
How did the medical check go?
Did u have to wait long?
Any idea when will the results be made known?

Hi there,
BA just called and asked me to go down for a lung test and audio test at Ocean Building.
Did anyone here receive a call from them too?
To be or not to be, that's a question

Yup. Done mine already.
Both tests were normal.
Does it mean I am confirmed in? Or more tests to come?

Sigh..
I wonder if it is safe to fly with BA now after the "radio-active man" incident.
5 BA planes are currently under quarantine in London.
Will BA cut down on the number of staff it intend to recruit due to this?

Hopefully, that's not the case.
I doubt that should affect the recruitment in Sg since the base here is already pretty small. Furthermore, they already have plans of expanding the local base.
Anyway, I think BA is conducting the reference checks already.
I've received their call to inform me abt it as I'm acting as one for my friend.
Anyone else got called up?

I wouldn't worry too much about that, I doubt if the levels of radiation represent any serious threat although I am not certain why so much is being made of it. One possibility is they are just wanting to clean the planes to prevent further spread. I think you have more chance of being mugged or assaulted if you were silly enough to spend your Friday or any other night walking around where I live.

I heard that BA is conducting its references check this week.
Got a problem here.. I stated my friend as my reference but she is currently overseas on a tour and did not bring her phone.
What is going to happen in the event that BA is unable to contact my friend? To make matters worse, I think my ex-boss is away on a business trip this week too!
Will they call again next week or what?
Worried..

Best let them know, you are through the major stages, might mean having to delay training though. Can you not use your doctor or teachers as referees instead?

Thanks Plavt. Kinda worried about that now.
I do not have a fixed doctor whom I go to. As for teachers.. it's been years since I graduated, I doubt they will still remember me.
Do you think BA will call me if they are unable to contact my references? Or would they just call the remaining references who are contactable?

That I really don't know, I suggest you contact them, hopefully they would be more grateful if you 'put them in the picture'. They will already have spent money in processing your application so as I said earlier it may only be a case of delaying your training.

Hi Plavt,
you mean they need to spend money to process my application? Gee.. I thought it was just some simple paper work.
Ok, I will inform them.
Thanks for your advice.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
