Luv_BA wrote:Hi people, I have received a call from Kelly yesterday asking me to go for my medical checkup tomorrow.

Those who got shortlisted would be asked to go for the medical this week, after which they will carry out the criminal record and reference checks.

All the calls would be made within this week.

In the event of any unsuccessful applicants, BA would then consider people from the remaining batch and call them up next week. Thus, to those who have yet to receive any calls, just hang on!

Btw, letters are only sent sent out to unsuccessful applicants.

Psst.. Plavt, thanks for your advice. :)
Hey Luv_BA!

Congrats! Guess that finishing the interview within 30mins is a good thing! Good luck for your medical and have fun in England!

Best Regards,
Julie Tan

Most certainly but it rarely last more than a couple of days, the north of England and Scotland suffers much much more. What you will have to get used to is being warm inside and cold outside - that's how we get colds whereas in Singapore it happens the other way round. Tip don't come in from a cold day and go putting your hands immediately on top of the radiator it's bad for you - we do that sometimes but we really shouldn't. I don't know at present where BA do there training but I would imagine it will be in the London region.

Actually I have stayed in Scotland for 2 months. I was there on a student exchange program. Although it was summer but I was already freezing..

I had to wear at least 2 layers of clothings whenever I go out. The heat from the afternoon sun could be hot but the winds were really cold.

Btw, did anyone else get a call from BA? Don't tell me I'm the only person in this forum that got through? I thought it was a major recruitment this time round? :(

Including a friend of mine, there'll be 3 from this forum.
She doesn't post, but she reads and keep track of what goes on here.
I'm the one who'll post on her behalf, haha.
Anyway... she went for the medical check up yesterday.
Think she had her urine and blood pressure tested.
Also, there was a breast , eyesight and colour-blindness check.
Hope to hear good news soon!

Hi, I thought we were supposed to do a chest x-ray for the medical checkup, none?

Btw, is the breast examinations for ladies only? How about guys? Haha..

Not yet.

I am going tomorrow. Kinda nervous about it. Do they draw blood samples? I freak out whenever I see needles! Scary..

Btw, is the checkup free? I heard that people have to pay for Qatar airways medical checkup.
