is there anyone going for the BA interview is currently a cabin crew or a ex-cabin crew?
just curious....
cos i wonder if BA only takes in current crew and ex-crews, because they have the flying experiences and know more about the technical stuffs.
i remembered the last time UA recruit cabin crews this april, i think all who got in to UA are current and ex- cabin crews. i wonder if BA is the same....
anyway, good luck to all the girls going for the interview tomorrow!! lets do our best!

Exactly, no need to ask other people, think of it this way; you are one applying for the job. The interviewers will soon fathom out just how interested you are - a major stumbling block for some.

Seriously, today's interview was quite tough... Especially the chinese translation.
They prepared a different passage for everyone. My friends and I all got different things to translate. Translate miles, kilometres, in-flight pressure etc... into mandarin! OMG
Mine was on traditional chinese medical history. Things like Dangui, Huai-shen, cordyceps... The interviewer stared at my mouth and took note of every single wrong word or intonation that I made.
Important Note! Make sure you write down the translation in perfect chinese and NOT hanyu pinyin on the piece of rough paper they gave you. Because they really do grade you based on that piece of paper, not really by what you said.
Passing rate... very slim. They only need ard 10 crew from Singapore - guys and girls add together.
Kinda felt like a waste of time for me to be there today cos I came from an english-speaking background and mandarin to me was equivalent to greek.

Awaiting SIA and Ivanz,
This comes as no surprise, not only is the number of people required much lower than Singapore Airlines the whole purpose of employing a Singaporean is to have somebody who is both fluent and conversant with the Chinese language and culture.
Please remember folks the less the staff figure required the higher the standard they will expect of applicants; this is true of any employer. Best think things through and plan ahead - save yourself some disappointment.
Plavt.

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
