Post by cindy_t » Wed, 30 Aug 2006 2:57 am

I am a girl from chinese. But I am stay at singparoe about 2.5 years. Now I am a student learning in singapore. About half year, I will graduation.
I want to interview cabin crew. No matter SIA or JAL. But I am a student now, only hold student pass.
If Chinese haven’t PR, can I interview cabin crew or not?
Who knows? Who can tell me? Thank you very must!

Could you explain more precisely what you mean, your post is not clear.
Are you looking to do research or are you simply looking for a job?

I believe you mean, you are a student and you will graduate in 6 months,
You would like to apply for a job ?(Cabin Crew)

Of course you can apply for a position with SIA or JAL, but there is no guarantee, you will be short listed for interview.

I cannot answer your question about the PR status effecting the application, however you can ask the proper authority, I'm sure they will brief you on what you can or cannot do.

I think u definitely need PR if u want a singapore based job. U can try for Emirates or Qatar if you don't mind living there. U have to improve your english though.

Based on what you wrote - I can assure you that the further you will be able to go in the interview would be till the English written test. You have to improve your English - written and spoken before any airline will take you seriously. Even the Japanese crew I work with previously have a better standard of English! Sorry to be brutal :(

Yes, toygirl is right. You defintely should master your English. You'll encounter people of diversified background and excellent communication is a must!

Lots of people asking me whether they should try out to be cabin crew - If you are sure that this is the career for you or you want a short experience and have the competencies - Then go for it.

Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.

Back to work.
