common/master room meaning

Hi all,

Sorry if this a frequently asked/answered question but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I just need to know the meaning of a "common room". What's the difference between a common room and a master room?

The master bedroom is the main bedroom, also is the bedroom with the attached bathroom, most common bedrooms doesn't come with attached baths.
