indian coming to singapore

hi all
i am from india and coming to singapore in few day
as per international flights rules one person can bring on 20KG with him.
how did you guys manage to bring ur stuff from india

No free lunch: either you pay for excess baggage or you ship it as cargo by sea. Or you bring some more the next time you come around. The rule of thumb, though, is that it's cheaper to buy anything in Singapore than the cost of shipping...!

I moved to Singapore with one suitcase and one box of excess baggage, containing mostly stuff I needed immediately (read: clothes) and items of sentimental value that I can't replace in Singapore.
