Hello from Bangkok, Thailand.

Post by Burin » Sun, 27 Aug 2006 12:17 am

Hi everyone, I'm from Bangkok, Thailand. I found out that in singapore has this type of web board too. We have one in Thailand too. It's thaicabincrew.com (mostly, it's in Thai). So, I wonder if i can have some Singaporen friends who i can keep intouch with and exchange news about being cabin crew here and there.
For now i have a question i wonder if you singaporens may help me. YOu know ? Right now Jestar and Valuair 've come to recruit us but they haven't told any of benefit informations. Also we don't event know what're the diffrents between those airlines. Jetstar Asia, Valuair, Tiger Airways and Jetstar International. So, if you guys could help me answer that questions. I will very apreciate.
P.S. Has Thai Airways ever been to Singapore to recruit?

Rein Khun Burin,

Welcome here, basically Jetstar Asia/Valuair have the same parent company (Orangestar Holdings)

Background info - Salaries are the lowest amongst the airlines locally. Recruitment for the BKK crew may be BKK-SIN turnaround, I am not sure honestly.

Jetstar International - Based in Australia - these fly the Osaka, HCM routes

Valuair - Taken over by JQ a few years ago and then operations are in synch with Jetstar Asia (3K) - They fly SIN-JKT and SIN-Surabaya.

Tiger Airways is Singapore owned - with a stake by SIA. Queenie pie - could you be a dear and help confirm whether TR recruiting BKK based crew, I haven't heard of that so far.

Thai Airways has not recruited in Singapore - Never heard of it. Lots of good quality Thai crew in BKK so I doubt they ever need to recruit here :)

Queenie's here to explained. hehe
Well Tiger airways is not recruiting any BKK based crew. BUT they only do employed anyone IF only they are singaporean pr or singaporean.
One of my batch girl is Thai national. And she is one of my favour crew I would like to work with. She's very humble, courteous and fun-loving.
But of course, she is a singaporean pr.
