Looking for Bagelsl!!

Post by luv2paint » Sat, 26 Aug 2006 1:50 pm

Anyone know where we can find bagels around here? and I'm not talking about the frozen Lender pretend-bagels one finds in Cold Storage. Any ex-New Yorkers out there suffering from bagel withdrawl symptoms? Thanks!

I have heard that the bakery in the basement of Tanglin have decent bagels (but I'm not from the East of the USA), but I haven't been there.

Good, fresh, vegetables can be found at any wet market. I just came back from my local wet market and for less than $25 I have 2 large bags full of fresh veggies and free spring oninons, chilies, and corrainder thrown in.

The freshly made bagels sold each morning in some of the expat supermarkets are most likely supplied by these folks:

http://www.nycbagelfactory.com/index.html

It was a business started last year by 3 expats . They are located in Bedok and they deliver to the East Coast and Woodlands. We are lucky to live in the East Coast area and get our weekly delivery on Thursdays.

Thanks a million! Just submitted my first order. It's been so long since I've had a good bagel...
