hi,
my husband has accepted an offer for us all to come to singapore. For the relevant visa/employment passes, we all need medicals (including the kids).
His company in the uk has been of no help whatsoever in sorting this out. Where can we get this done in the UK ? Our local GP's do not provide this service, and also, what should the medical consist of.
Help most appreciated.
Thanks

Hi - I am moving out to Singapore soon from the UK and so I am in a similar situation except that my GP is willing to do the medical but for £150 plus the cost of the blood test (£50) and the chest x-ray (£45). I am pretty sure any private clinic / hospital will be able to perform the medical at a cost as it isnt covered by the NHS. I hope that is some help

Hi Karl,
how do i find out exactly what the medical should cover e.g. in terms of blood tests required, x-rays required etc. ? Would a GP have this info at the ready or would i need to tell him ?
Thanks

Hi - you can find the forms to give to your GP at the following link:
http://www.mom.gov.sg/Forms/EmploymentP ... claration/
When you get your letter of approval in principle it will state if you are required to have a chest x-ray (for TB) and blood test (for HIV)
best of luck, Karl

One of the highest vaccine uptake but still many cases

Is it me but it seems with each new announcement of being high on world Covid vaccine uptake the case numbers keep increasing here.
Can't be that...

The one sure way to get a higher case counts is to increase testing.
It also seems like a good tactic, to show a higher case count… isn’t that...
