Good Day everyone!
Which is easier--- to renew an existing S Pass or to apply for a new S pass?
Hope to hear from anyone.....

Huh? Renew it, obviously -- if you've already gotten it once, they're not going to deny you unless you've been caught spraying graffiti on the Istana.

Spraying graffiti?he,he,he...

The thing is my current employer is relocating us to our client in Malaysia and they applied for work pass there also. Once it is approved, they are planning to surrender our Singapore S pass. But lately, I've been considered for another job in Singapore and will start working with my new employer on November as my contract with my current employer will end on that month. I just hope getting a new S Pass will not be a problem then or I may try to request my current employer not to surrender it. I do really think it is easier to renew than to get one....

If you're with the same employer, then why a new one?

What I mean is a different employer from my current employer right now.

Ah. That's not renewing an S Pass, that's applying for a new one, so you're basically back to square one. It's best to get PR before you go job-hopping...

Thanks jpatokal. I do agree with you to get PR status before job hopping...Anyway, can my future employer apply for change of employer of my S Pss in advance? But I will be starting to work with them on November?
If not then I may have to go back to "square one" again. But I guess there will be no problem getting a new one since they have issued to me once already unless I have a "bad record" in Singapore....
