Does chemical peel really works? I've tried once and i don't really see much of the results. Between chemical peel and facial, which is better? Is that place (Raffles Hospital) really good?

chem peel is for removing scars n pimple marks... facial is for unclogging pores n removing pimples.. they are 2 diff things... chem peel is better option for me cos facial if nvr do well wil cause scars or pitted holes..
chem peel comes in 20% 35% 50% 75% aha depending on how ur skin can tolerate these conc of acids.. usually u can do once every 4 wks...i did mine at raffles hos at $75 per peel student rate...

Hi
Try Changi hospital, another source thou i havent try this place yet. But
http://www.cgh.com.sg/library/skin_chemical.asp
I had tried the one at Specialist center - Skin center; Dr Goh, but it is very very costly.
Or personally i have another solution
you go for one peel then after use a homecare range from Dr Seager; to use at home every day and gradually u see some improvement. To prevent the oiliness, dam slight calamine lotion on the pimple area - not too much or it dries out the skin easily

Does it shows any results? The first time i went for Chemical Peel, they used an acid too mild that it doesn't peel at all. So i get to go for free the 2nd time but only peel abit. Or isit my complexion not THAT bad so nv really peel?

better start off with mild ones, if it works for u, thats fine, if not much reaction, you can actually request doc to increase the acidic level slightly more

Miss Q
Hi, for oily and pimple skin, you can try using a product called Clear Action Medication System. This is a comprehensive system that helps to clear the signs of past and present breakouts while ensuring the future healthy look of your complexion.
It comes with a :-
CLEANSER - deep cleanse pores and reduce most breakout;
TONER - keep your complexion calm and shine free, it calms angry, red skin and manages oil levels with licorice extract that soothes irritated skin and zinc PCA that helps control sebum level and a special blend of vitamins C and E which replenishes the natural antioxidant supply that is lost when your skin is fighting breakouts.
DAY TREATMENT-protects and revitalizes your complexion
NIGHT TREATMENT - Erase the signs of breakouts
The whole systems cost $214.00 with 4 products. Not sure whether is it costly to you ?
As for AHA Peel, I am using a AHA Facial Peel that comes with Neutralizer that you can use 18 times (3 times a week) and it is fantastic without the recovery time required by clinical peels. It helps stimulate cell renewal and enhance collagen synthesis. It costs $143.00 that work out to be each facial peel is less than $8.00 ! It is worth trying.
Hope the above sharing helps you to improve your skin condition.
Rgds
