where to buy boys wear for music band

Post by andis » Mon, 14 Aug 2006 9:50 pm

I thought I had planned nearly everything quite well for our move to Singapore, but we left almost everything with long sleeves or long pants behind, as it didn't look like the kids needed them.

We took everything for my oldest son's participation in band - band practice that is. We did not bring long-sleeve white shirts, nor long black pants, nor black shes with us. My planning obviously failed there, and I have a terrible time figuring out where I could shop for such stuff.

I am thus looking for formal boys wear, white long-sleeved shirts and black long fomal pants, slacks, trousers - don't even know what the most comon term is for them - and also black formal shoes - but I may have more luck with these in a men's store, as my 12 year old son has rather large, if not huge feet for his age.

Thanks for any hints or ideas where to look

I bought my 12 year old's pants from Robinson's men's department. Try looking for the smaller sizes & have the length adjusted by a tailor. I bought his white long sleeve shirt from Giordano, but you can try looking at Robinson's too.

Shoes - I bought from Bata - reasonably priced.

Thanks so much, wk, this helps a great deal. I guess it is that time to think of my 12y old as a lil' man, and not a boy any moe 8-)

You're welcome :D

It can be tough to find clothes for the tweens! It is also tough to find clothes for kids who are tall & husky like my 9th grader!!! We end up doing most of our clothes shopping in the States where his size is not an anomaly
