playing hp videos on computer

hi,
i would like to ask if i want to open the photos that i uploaded from my phone, what do i need to do to make it playable on windows media player.
the file is in mp4 format and i have tried playing it. It is super slow plus the voice don't tally with the actions in the vid.
any advice?
