I know that this topic has beens asked before, but I really need to know for sure the process of shipping my two beloved dogs to Singapore. I've tried to contact Natalie at AVA, but no answers.
What did every pets owner do to prepare their pets for the long flight in the cargo compartment? What about water and food? I know I worry too much at this point!
How do you determine what kennel size to buy? Did you know that your pet (s) were onboard prior to takeoff? Does anyone know if there is any lighting inside the airplane of the lower cargo compartment?
Please help! I am probably stressing out for nothing, correct?
Thank you all!!!

Hi there, I am not able to assist you much but I hope that whatever small info I get will assist you.
Firstly, my friend works in Singapore Airlines and she mentioned that the animals are kept in the lower part of the plane and their food and water is taken care off.
However, since this is a long flight , I think the type of service your dogs get also depends on the airline. You should be able to check this with the airline office in your country. Do try to take a good airline like SQ , or Emirates.
As for lighting ,there is a dim light.
I suggest that you read through this link,,for AVA in Singapore. It has lots of info here.

Regarding of the info for animals on board ,its best you have to check with the airline itself.
Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for the link and information! I will check with different airlines to see if I could learn more on how they normally handle animal shipment.
Thank you again!
