Cost of Goods (UK ex residents mainly)

Post by Patrick777 » Fri, 04 Aug 2006 6:11 pm

How do the cost of things like TV's, mountain bikes, normal good compare to the UK? Is it worth buying stuff like that in the UK now the market is so tight or leave it till I get to singapore etc?

I haven't a clue about mountain bikes but electrical goods are, IME, pretty comparable to the UK. No great bargains to be had. Are you paying shipping? If so, don't buy there.

Don't buy/bring your telly - it takes some configuring to work over here, and only if you have cable TV. We don't have it in our street so had to buy a new one. :)

OK in that case you need Fat Bob :D (Hmmm, need + Fat Bob = a scary thought).

If nobody here can advise you how to do it, I'll try to dig some info out of the archives of :o another forum :o and post it.

What is so difficult?

Post by Patrick777 » Fri, 11 Aug 2006 7:22 pm

Isn't it a case of plug in a scart or s-video and away we go?

I struggle to understand why it wouldn't work?

cheers

Pat
