East coast ghost Sightings

Post by Patrick777 » Fri, 04 Aug 2006 12:57 am

Ok I asked about spiders and snakes on the parenting forum and was informed the East coast is built on where loads of ww2 nasties took place?

Is this true? anyone have any solider walking through bedrooms etc?

I do believe in ghosts but they don't normally bother me though my thai wife would be destroyed by it all?

Answers on a postcard please!

Come on...don't be frightened by her, she's definitely gone off the topic to mention about ghosts, I am sure most houses are clean. You will certainly have good or bad vibes when you step into a house, so use your instincts! :)

The most notorious haunted place I've heard of it the Old Changi Hospital which is already been deserted.

So don't worry to much..

Well I am doing some work in the new Coast Guard Headquarters which was the old Navy base and we caught about 3.5 hrs of footage of a grey mass spinning and turnign through the new canteen. The technicians were called in to see if it was a cctv error but they freaked whne they saw it sayign it can't possibly be a glitch. Apaprantly that Site has a lot of history for these sort of activities.

Patrick, I don't mean to sound rude but you seem to have lots of anxieties about moving to Singapore. Are you sure it's the right move for you?

I don't know your nationality but I'm a Brit, moved here 4 years ago having never lived abroad, and Singapore is a piece of cake.

Chill out. :)

Moving Time

Post by Patrick777 » Thu, 10 Aug 2006 12:32 am

No issue about Singapore, just trying to get to know as much as I can when I can etc! No doubts at all about moving subject to EP, I can't wait to leave the UK. I'm just trying to get a feel for eveything and work things out. When I arrive in Singapore we have 1 month to find a house(all being well Kew Green) and 2 months before baby No2 arrival. The reason I asked about the ghosts was because the flat I recently rented had someone who died just before we moved in and my wife couldn't sleep when I was away. I wouldn't want to make the same mistake with a 2year let instead of a 6 month let etc!

Onwards and upwards!

I know that feeling. Don't worry, the expat members have all been in the position you're in. As you've found, you keep asking and somebody will answer, although you will still get my prize for most bizarre questions!

BTW don't assume that living in newer property guarantees no ghosts. Most places are built on previously used land. I live in a pre-war shophouse - who knows who watches me sleep? :)
