I moved to Singapore about 3 weeks ago from Australia and was hoping to find some shared accomodation ... but I seem to be really struggling. I've tried the a few forums and ..com without any success.
I don't think I'm being too picky, I'm just not getting any response responses to email or SMS.
Anyone got any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong or any other approaches that I might take?

Shouldn't be too difficult, could it be your expectations, that are too high?
The Shared accomodation in our
Classifieds Section is extremely popular and the take up rate seems to be good. Make efforts to view them rather than brush them off before you think it's bad?
Good luck.

Looking for a room? Thus far it's been easy for me - occupying my 2nd room now...
SMS those agents in the papers and the online sites.

But the world is full of fluffier ones.

Hi, please pardon me if I may sound rude but may I know what is your gender? This may affect your finding in a shared accomodation too, thus I need to find out. Where exactly do you have in mind to look for a shared accomodation? Any particular request etc.

Hi spooker ,, generally it depends on what you expect from the room.. also location wise.
You may want to PM cos my mum's place there is a romm available for rent soon..i think after the 20th.
Getting a agent would mean that you still would have to pay the agent 50% more.
Cheers!!!

not neccessarily true. i mean the 'more expensive' part. sometimes property agents can get you cheaper rate for accomodation. it is definitely worth paying half a month rental commision for 20% monthly savings over 1 or 2 years period.

I'm just sick and tired of these locals who put in advertisments then when you go to view everything changes- the room looks nothing like as shown, the bathroom is different as described, price changes, then they suddenly speak very little english and try and pool the wool over your eyes.

I am a female working professional looking for a housemate. You can view your room anytime. HDB 5 room flat HI floor, common room.
Pictures are deceiving, so I rather let you feel the place via your visit. The most important thing you have to feel comfortable with the enviroment and who you will be moving in with.
