Dermal Filler-Non surgical Rhino

Post by sweet_rosie » Wed, 02 Aug 2006 10:35 am

Hi everyone,

I am new to here.I have been reading a lot of post lately and I find that this forum has a lot of good information and advice.

I wonder if anyone has tried non surgical rhinoplasty before?
I always find that my nose is unattractive and I felt that if my nose is higher ,I will have a better profile.
I thought of going for nose implant but scared of the complications and the healing process will take long ,I can't afford to take leave as well .On the other hand,I only want to make small changes in my nose as I prefer to look the same ,but just lift my nose a bit higher.
A friend of mine suggested that I should try dermal filler ,she think it is better as I could see the result right away,no operation and i don't need to take leave from work.

So,I decided to do it .I searched online and found out Dr. David Loh's clinic.I did a 5 minutes consultation and he said I should do it right away.
So,he prefer to use perlane, supposed to last for 6 months.
I paid S$800 ++ and quite happy with the result.
First day,bit swollen but it went away after 2 days.
Two months later, the filler has sort of melted away. So,went back to him and he said it is normal since but it is there.I told him I am dissapointed that it didn't stay for too long .So,he suggested that I should do one more and use different filler ,which is according to him,it is a better one and with stay on for 9 months to 1 year. So,here I am desperate to look beautiful

 ,decided to do it one more time.Paid the same amount

Three months later ,it's gone down.. (U think I would give up?? ,I didn't !) Searched again online to see if I could find another doctor and found doctor Valentine Low. He seemed friendly and nice and at that time,i heard about permanent fller (aquamid filler)cost S$ 2,500 per syringe.Told him I want that and he advised me not to do it because it will cause complication later on,he said it will cause a bump.. so did the dermal filler again,as he promised his filler is better.Paid S$ 800 ++ again!!!
I felt like,I was addicted to it :???:

A month later,it gone down.. toild him my concerns and so he said that I should go for permanent instead! I was like ,huh?? I thought you said....
Well,I decided to do it anyway, and I told myself that this is it! No more filler after this..

I learned my lesson.NEVER make instant decision.I was rushing to get an instant ,automatic result and it was a mess!
It cost me a lot of money and dissapointments.
Now,I don't like to worry about my look.. I don't like to be fooled by Singapore doctor who promise a lot of things just to convince you and ripped you off.

So,hopefully my experience will help those people who are planning to go for dermal fillers.. You should think about it first and look for the best doctor before you decide.

Ciao!

had my laugh lines filled 2 weeks back, , one side had more h.acid . yes my left side was filled but looks like too much was injected ,now has a slight hump. not noticeable but looks like no change. the doc use numbing cream, the other side is better as he used less h.acid, injection was painful but bearable.

can it be removed completely or dissolve completely.

So for eg i go for a 6mths filler and in between i decided to do a surgical nose job, will the Dr be able to remove it?

Am i even allowed to do rhinoplasty while havin fillers in my nose?

I had my fillers done by dr valentin low.
I felt cheated too. he charge me 1.8k for the fillers
i guess he anyhow charge and the fillers does not even last for a week.
I went back to him, he refused to re-do for me and kind of brush it off giving excuses like...he can see the diff. in fact there's no diff.
anyway, i've learnt my expensive lesson and not to visit this doctor again.

customers spent so much on the fillers yet it cant even last.
whats the point?
saying ti can last 6mths to 2 yrs? it's simply bullshit.

Fillers for Nose

Post by babyangel11 » Sun, 25 Jul 2010 6:15 am

Hi All,

Im really not sure if fillers are good for the nose at all. I recalled reading some article - couldnt remember if it was in Dr Toriumi's website - a patient had gotten some filler job for the nose.

However, it kind of went wrong or whatever and there seems to be some odd shape forming. When this patient went for a rhinoplasty job and when the surgeon "opened" the nose, he could see some kind of scar or mark or whatever left by the filler and i think he had to remove it 1st - there were pictures shown of those filler marks, etc.

So perhaps before getting fillers for the nose, it may be wise to read up and check out about this procedure such as whether there are any bad after-effects after sometime before getting it done.

Cheers.

I did my filler at Georgia Lee, paid $900 per vial.
I used 2 vials, so total is $1800.

The fillers lasted, , did mine 2 yrs back, I still feel the fillers are around.

Its a semi perm filler..

GG lee is GOOD.. so, I will go back to her for 2nd filler.. :)

From what i know.. fillers don't last.. just like botox.. its one of those treatment that u have to do it again and again and sooner or later, it would be an addiction.. i would rather go for a one time plastic surgery for my nose.. then keep injecting it every year.. having too much foreign substances in our body over time harms the whole all well being..

Those people that keep doing botox and fillers over time.. their skin loosens and becomes old and wrinkled. like those old old woman whereby they have layers of skin. botox and fillers are recommended for older women age 40-60.. not so much for girls between age 20-30. coz the repeatition of the shrinking and tightening of the skin will result in loose flabby wrinkles and lines the moment the botox or fillers wears off..
