short term cell phone and internet service?

Post by 1stimer » Tue, 10 Aug 2004 12:34 pm

Hi all,
I will be going to Singapore for a 90 days assignment soon. Quick question, does Singapore offer any type of short term(contract) for internet service(broadband) and cell phone service (like prepaid cell phone, no annual contract)? If you can share your thoughts, that will be great. Thanks.

Prepaid phones are no problem. Broadband is a bit trickier: where are you staying, and are you sure they don't have broadband already? I seem to recall that at least StarHub has a 6-month minimum when signing up...

Well for pre-paid SIM Cards, you can get one from one the neighbourhood stores...

For broad band access, you can try usign MaxiOnline FlexiSurf from STARHUB....
